August is the Membership Development Month.

It’s the month in which we focus our efforts towards membership growth, as Rotary’s very growth depends on it.

As I endorse this thought, that for Rotary’s growth we need to induct new and young members, I also want you all to make sure that when we invite our friends, family or business associates to join Rotary they should fully understand what we Rotarians do, share and stand for.
 
It is very important that we not only look at increasing the number of members in our clubs, but also take care that we bring in “quality members”. For me the phrase “quality members” means, members who are like-minded and will gel well with the existing culture of your club. Members who will add value to the humanitarian service projects being undertaken by your existing club members.

Let’s Make a Difference with this FRESH APPROACH towards membership development. Let’s give our members a meaningful Rotary experience by offering them opportunities to make a positive difference and connect with others. With this new approach, they’ll make valuable friendships and feel good about Rotary and the work we’re doing to make the world a better place.
